Cleveland Cavaliers coach and East alum J.B. Bickerstaff reflects on the day he played against Kobe Bryant

As the world mourns the one-year anniversary of the death of Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant on Tuesday, Cavaliers coach J.B. Bickerstaff might be re-telling a story from their high school days.

Bickerstaff chuckled when recalling it Monday, thinking back to the NBA Players Association camp they attended before their final prep season.

Both were members of the Class of 1996. Bickerstaff starred at East High School in Denver and Bryant was already a legend at Lower Merion High School in Pennsylvania.
