Hello, Angel community! We wanted to send a reminder of the many ways East Angel Friends & Alumni Foundation (EAFAF) supports our Angel community. Our programs include both Angel Packs and the Student Assistance Fund (SAF).
Angel Packs provides weekend bags of non-perishable food available to students every Friday. The program also provides a pantry one Saturday a month for East families to shop for a wide variety of non-perishable items, fresh fruits, vegetables, frozen meats as well as toiletry and household items. Both of these services are free to any East family needing support.
During the shutdown, the Angel Packs volunteers partnered with a generous community group to provide weekly prepared and delivered meals for any family who wanted to participate. Ongoing information is shared with our families as to where they can access extra food in the community. With continued limited access to the school building, volunteers are providing outside pickup and delivery of Angel Packs. Along with donations from the community and financial assistance from EAFAF, Angel Packs purchases staple food items from Food Bank of the Rockies.
We look forward to the school doors opening once again so that Angel Packs can continue its efforts in a greater capacity to East families in need and SAF can pick up where it left off, offering books for load and sale, calculators, RTD bus passes, and other school supplies.
