Spring 2020 Updates from the East Angel Friends & Alumni Foundation

The East Angel Friends & Alumni Foundation (EAFAF) hopes that everyone is safe and healthy during this challenging time for students, families, teachers, and administrators. We would like to thank everyone for all their work to get remote learning up and running and to keep life at East High School moving forward.

Following are updates on two recent EAFAF initiatives. For additional information about the Foundation, please visit us at eastangelfriends.org.

New Auditorium Projector Installation Completed!

A new projector, the last component of the sound and visual upgrade to the auditorium, was installed last month. This will provide a huge improvement for all school gatherings and events such as Back to School Night, Angel Talks, college presentations, and so much more. It will also be a welcome addition to the drama program, both as part of productions as well as an exposure for students to the latest stagecraft technology. Thanks to DPS and all those who contributed to EAFAF to make this happen.

EAFAF Faculty Grants Help Supplement East Programs

This year, EAFAF provided funding for additional computers which proved to be very helpful during the pandemic. The grants also helped to fund guest lecturers for the music and theater departments, printing of the school’s literary magazine, Serendipity, white board desks for math classes, the life skills initiatives in the special education department, and much more.

Many thanks to those of you who have supported EAFAF.

We hope you’ll join us!
